Cape Town was interesting enough. It reminded me a lot of the US. Hell, there was a mall within walking distance of the pier. Just about everyone spoke English, and everything seemed rather western. I went on a “Cape Winelands” trip, which brought us to two separate wine tastings and a brandy (yuck) tasting. Other than that, we did a lot of wandering around port. Few other things to note was Table Mountain, of which I have pictures, that was directly by the pier. They had something they called the “tablecloth’ where the clouds went directly on top of the flat mountain, which looked pretty sweet. Oh, and there were also seals hanging out near the pier. They sounded like my dog.

So we hit a bit of a storm between South Africa and Mauritius, which made our internet kind of crappy. What’s worse is that half the ship had taken a liking to Skype over the course of that time, and for those of you who know how it is, it sucks up a ton of bandwidth. Because of that, all of the Skype users had an almost perfect connection using the program, where it would take me over an hour for my Quinnipiac email to load. Blah.
