The savant Home experience

Savant integrates a homeowner's connected products into a single system, with a unified experience across multiple touchpoints including the Savant App and Savant Remote.

THE SAVANT APP

For years Savant relied on TrueControl. The heavily customizable app was configured individually for each home by an integrator. The app was overrun with unnecessary controls and it was difficult for savant to maintain quality control over the experience.

We were tasked with building a completely new control app from the ground up. We designed a scalable, modular smart home app that could accommodate a home of any size and consistently delivered a quality experience to the end user.

THE MAKING OF

Savant app is built on a grid based system with all modular components. We knew scalability would make or break the Savant experience, so we structured our design process to help developers to rapidly build integration with new savant products and third party systems. Every new service or feature could be crafted from existing components.
